What do you do at Cottam?
My role as Business Development Manager, along with my colleagues in the sales team, includes managing and developing mature key accounts across the UK and continuing the good relationships that have been established over an extended period of time. My main focus is to grow new business by promoting the Cottam brand and building new partnerships with strategically identified targets.
What are you most proud of?
I am very proud to be part of the positive changes and ongoing developments at Cottam, contributing to and being part of an energetic, supportive and enthusiastic sales team who work together well with a mutual respect for each other.
On a personal note I am very pleased to have identified, secured and developed a major account which required a large amount of commitment and tenacity to win.
Outside of work I am a proud to have a wonderful patient wife, a very close family and four lovely grandchildren .
Who or what inspires you?
The challenge of a sales role has always inspired me and kept me with my feet on the ground.
People overcoming adversity always have an impact, as do adventurers, explorers and people who push the envelope…
Privately I am totally inspired by my brave little Grandson who has endured 2 heart operations along with other procedures in his first 3 years…he truly is my very own Super Hero…
What do you do when you’re not working?
I am never short of a pastime and can always be found riding a wave or paddling my kayak or up a hill or in a forest or trying to convince myself I am Ian Botham...!
