Pipeline / Pig Brushes

We specialise in the design and manufacture of brushes for the cleaning and MFL in-line inspection of pipelines.  Our brushes are bespoke, manufactured to suit individual pipelines or ILI tools.

We recognise that our customers are looking for creative solutions with excellent performance and we realise that the window of opportunity to inspect or clean a pipeline may be tremendously limited. We have the capacity to enable our customers to react to opportunities as and when they arise and are happy to work with customers on stock-holding of both finished product and raw materials to enable them to satisfy this demanding market-place.

The bristles of a brush provide guidance, flexibility, strength, resistance to obstacles, and retention of debris, essential ingredients for effectively cleaning or inspecting a pipeline.

MFL - Magnetic Flux Leakage

Heavy duty steel brushes are used to create a magnetic circuit between the ILI tool and the pipewall.  Leakages or interruptions to this circuit are caused by metal loss in the wall of the pipe, most usually a result of corrosion.

Our brushes feature:

• tightly packed wire tufts which provide excellent performance in creating and maintaining the magnetic circuit

• memory wire which springs back into position after flexing thus providing consistent performance throughout the run

• robust construction minimizing the chance of wire loss or pipeline blockage
  

Pipeline Cleaning Brushes

Regular cleaning of pipelines is proven to reduce corrosion, improve flowrates and minimize line down time.  Our brushes are manufactured using materials which will withstand the adverse conditions inside a pipeline and perform in oil, gas and water pipelines.  The gauges and types of filament used depend on the level of abrasion required and can be customized to each situation.

We welcome enquiries to manufacture to existing specifications or to design and manufacture a solution from scratch.

We can also design and manufacture brushes for coated, flexible or sensitive pipelines.
