Ben Cottam has just returned from a successful trip to China. There looks to be a market for our pipeline brushes.....the hard work starts now.
Workplace Health Alliance
We're one of the first companies in the area to sign up to the new Workplace Health Alliance. This is a cross sector group that shares resources, knowledge and best practice around health in the workplace. We want to promote healthy living within our business and ensure our staff have access to the best advice and services. Alan Crook, Manufacturing Director, presented at the launch event and was accompanied by Brenda Peverley, Health and Safety Representative.
Whitburn School
We’ve been helping Whitburn School students with interview practice this month. David Cottam and Kathy Bevan both shared their experiences with classes of student…….very brave!!
South Shields Lecture - calling all Trekkies!
We went to this year’s South Shields Lecture hosted by David Miliband, MP and Foreign Secretary. This year’s guest speaker was Patrick Stewart and he was fantastic!
Energy Efficiency
We've just completed an energy efficiency audit which was carried out over the last 2 months. We came out very well and now have a few further improvements to make.
Economic Strategy
We were invited to contribute to the new Economic Development Strategy that is being developed for our area (South Tyneside). Thanks for the invite - we’re happy to help.

We've been out and about this month
We've been to South Tyneside Manufacturing Forum, a Lean Manufacturing seminar, the South Tyneside Business Forum's annual big bash event – “Business with a Bang” as well as other events. We do this to meet and learn from other business people - we're always keen to improve.
